Strange Sound from C43 front-end
My '99 C43 has developed a weird sound in the morning when I leave for work. As I back out of the driveway and turn the hard wheel to the right, as the driver's side front wheel rolls down over the curb to street level there is a loud "thump" kind of sound.
Since the suspension is not modded I don't think it's the spring moving (I've had cars with modified suspensions before and am used to hearing a spring move in the spring perch).
About 12 months ago I replaced the center drag link...
...so I really hope it's not that again, but it used to make a similar sound before I replaced this part as I drove over the curb into the driveway.
Once it does this in the morning, I don't hear it again until the next morning.
Is it the shock settling after sitting all night? Other thoughts on what to look at?
