1996 C36 wheels??

Hey guys,

my brother owns a 96 C36 amg, silver with the 18'' monoblock II wheels. Recently he hit a pothole with his front left wheel on the highway and the rim lip bent slightly but the tire blistered really bad. He would like to fix the rim etc. but is a bit low on cash right now. He recently straightened all the rims at a wheel shop but now he has a bent one again.

Anyhow, his car is parked and he is pretty bumed out because he loves the car to death. I would like to buy him some cheapo wheels and all season tires for a couple of months until he has the cash to fix his monoblocks or buy some serious wheels.

I cam across these wheels (link below) but am not sure if they will fit properly and I would like to place 255/35-18's on the back and 235/40-18's on the front. Maybe 225/245 F/R too. I am curious if you guys have any input on some cheap wheels and if you think these wheels will fit properly. I don't want anything with a lip because I would hate for them to bend again. I have also found some cheap AMG replica wheels on ebay but am not sure about the quality of those. Anybody have experience with these??

Also, if you could give me some input on some other popular wheel choices I would truly appreciate it. Thank you guys very much for your time and I am looking forward to you comments.

Good to know, he has 225/35-18's right now. So would a 18 x 8.5 wheel fit on the front?? And what about a 18x9.5 wheel in the rear?? I found some sweet amg whels with those sizes but they seem a bit wide.

Tx.

I found this website and I am digging those 18'' MBZ stagerred wheels (see below) but was a bit worried about the width.

i don't think the 5-star is fake...there's an amg engraved in one of the spokes. that one's a good buy!
