Advice on Diminished Value

I was hit from the back and my rear bumper got cracked. I was paid enough to get it fixed with new replacement plus paint, clear ..etc.

I was reading at http://www.ican2000.com/index.shtml that I might be able to collect some funds even if the repair is done well. So after I was paid I was given a number to call and ask if I was entitled for the DV. I was told someone would contact me within 24hrs.

I got a call 3 hours later and was told state farm will ot pay me anything because its a 99 and has 99,000 miles AND that the damage was not that much.

The guy offered me $58.00 for a rental or as he stated "to do whatever you want with it." Should I pressure them to give me something? I was not at fault at all and so I told them I would like at least $500.00. He said no, he cannot and will not pay that. I toold him that in 1999 545-6 where made so they are rare. Nothing.

Should I continue to ask/demand they pay me or should I just ask for the $58.00 and fill the tank and get nice launch?

Also, has anyone used these guys http://www.ican2000.com/index.shtml

Will these guys really help?

I don't think the damage was enough to warrant the extra money. Bumpers are designed to be bumped. I think you would get that extra money if the frame had to be straightened or something of that nature.

Press the agent a little more and then just take the $58 and walk away.
