1995 C36 AMG - what issues to look for?
Hello,
If anyone could please help me. I am about to purchase a 1995 C36 AMG, w/ 125k on the clock. My friend who has a car lot took it in as a trade. I drove the car for the weekend and it was AMAZING. If I could please get some feedback regarding the car and what issues to look for specifically,. like what is usual to go wrong with them. and how much should i expect to pay for maintenance on the vehicle . I spoke to the original owner, he maintained it at MB of San Diego, didn't have all the records though because he relocated to NC. and checked out the carfax which is clean. As for the car it is beautiful inside and out, except for a little bit of clear coat peeling by the antenna.

I bought my 95 C36 over a yr ago which had 87k miles. The car was well maintained. The gaskets were done,fluids new,except for the wiring harness which cost me $1300! Now I have almost 100k miles. Its been dead reliable. It doesnt burn any oil. I do drive it hard. Sometimes I like it better than my 350z.

headgasket around that mileage, wiring harness if it still has the original. I would take a good look over the service records, and have him call the San Diego dealer so you get a good glimpse into what has been addressed and what hasn't.
