just buy the twin turbo kit and bolt it on

not at all, 10.5:1 is LOW for an NA engine. You can easily run 8-9psi on a 10.5:1 engine with no problems, ESPECIALLY one as strong as our C36 motors. Don't waste your time lowering compression. Run a nice ball bearing turbo setup and you could have a hell of a motor.

To turbo this car would be a huge mistake though, AMG meant for it to be NA, stick with NA and just do NA Mods, if you want to mod a turbo car, get an EVO, Supra, RX7 or etc. Keep the C36 NA, reduce some weight, add some HP and call it a day.

Not true at all
The only reason why most of us buy amg, is not only for the beauty, but also for the power. After getting used to 270hp, we all want more. Example: SLR!
10.5:1 is too much comp. after boosting 9psi, the head lifts up. Trust me... I tried it. And yes, I used ARP head studs.

I was drooling over one at the dealership the other day. they have a 08 Mclaren SLR, 2 CLK BS, the new SL63, 2 C63's all in the showroom. Their showroom was honestly better than the Atlanta Auto Show, which usually has nice cars but they really dropped the ball this year.

thats not really true maybe for mb's but when i had my e36 m3 its was bone stock compression witch i believe was 11:1 with raceware studs on 12psi with gt35R car went 11.6 with stock motor , the only reason it blew was cuz i got greedy and turned the boost to 18psi witch pretty much bent the rods and cracked the blcok, but then again like i said maybe with mb motors its diferent.

NOT TRUE AT ALL

: smash:

You obviously aren't very knowledgable about cars. E46 M3's w/ 11.5:1 are running 8PSI. 8PSI is NOTHING in the world of boost. 10.5:1 is NOTHING for that kind of compression. Some push it even more (although I don't recommend).

You do NOT need forced induction to make power. I'm already at C43 power levels with just minor bolt ons. Theres STILL much more power to be had NA, its just everyone is so lazy they don't even try, everyone wants to cheat and take the easy way out (NOS or Boost).

I wouldn't say this if I were you. I have know this gentlemen for years and everytime I see him, he's got his head stuck on a motor. If he is saying stock motor won't hold, trust me it won't hold. He went thru the experience first hand and it did not hold, give him the credibility.
