Finally........ The V8 Beast is here!
The car is the way I want it inside and outside, Now I want to do the power
.........I done nothing to increase performance just a pair of K & N filters. I might remove the centre section of the exhaust but I don't think there is much more you can really do?
...... apart form supercharging which a great mechanical genius I know says we can do it for around £2500-£3000?.

Thanks guys,
I am fairly sure that they are original springs on the car as I have not changed them and when I have had the car up on the ramp they are black in color.
The wheels completely fill the arch and sometimes when I go over a bump and turn they rub slightly, but hey I don't care

i can understand the chip not being transferrable, but underdrive pulleys will transfer over if you get an engine swap, and are still a benefit if you supercharge.

Cheers Guys,
Found this which I will do and includes rolling road..... this Stage 1: ECU Remap +32 BHP +29 Nm Torque http://www.evolveyourcar.com/results...29&variant=c43
Also reading the recomendations and PERFORMANCE CATS thread, I will get my secondary CATS taken out before the chip, I understand that they are restrictive and will sound nice too I hope it will still pass an MOT test for the emissions test?
The overdrive pulleys sound like a good idea, but will cost about £300 pounds to deliver to uk as I can't find them here. Has anyone changed them and what were the benefits?

what are you talking about. since the motors are externally identical all bolt-on upgrades are not wasted as they transfer. for example, if i purchased kleemann headers and then decided to do an engine swap, then i get to bolt the headers onto the new motor. it isnt really a waste of money as it would still be an applicable upgrade regardless of future upgrades.

However you will see your headlights get bright and dim when the car is idling. Not GOOD. Not a big fan, otherwise I would have put them on my W202 and my other cars a long time ago.
Have you tried them yet?

underdrive pulleys are a poor modification to a luxury car
i understand the desire to make it as fast as possible for as cheap as possible- but i like having all my accessories and stereo working properly (and imo so should anyone else with a car this nice)

well ill agree that i would be disapointed if i were to observe my headlights dimming during idle, thats definitely no good. no i have not tried them but given the reviews at hand i may not be too eager.

there is a lot to disagree about when it comes to modifying cars-
however, if the people who obviously have spent the most $/effort modifying their cars and are diyers aren't doing certain modifications... probably means they aren't worthwhile.
i could have spent more on headers, underdrive pulleys, intake and a chip than i have on everything thus far (and gotten quite good deals on those items)

I agree underdrive pulleys aren't the best idea which is why I personally don't use them, I prefer lightweight pulleys, you get the benefits without the downsides.
dimming lights at night and reduced AC among other things honestly aren't worth it in my own personal opinioin, but lotta guys seem to really like the E\/osport pulley kits so I guess they may not underdrive too much.

I will thank everyone for their ideas and comments so far, I think I will stay with the exhaust modifications, as its sounds like most people state the CATS are key to improving the performance, I want to remove the secondary CATS instead of changing them but will it fail the emissions test ?

the consensus is no. metal (or performance cats) operate in the same tolerances as normal brick-style cats, therefore not affecting your emissions status. besides, thats only if they check for cats and probe your exhaust, which they will not do, they typically just plug in a scanner into your obdII port and see if your car is complaining about anything, if your car throws no codes they pass you and youre on your way.

crazeazn Sorry did not answer your question before, only C43's that came with factory xenons had headlamp washers, my car doesn't get a chance to be dirty enough for them anyway. but the xenon the conversion is easy along with fogs.
