Hello everyone! Another C36 owner!

I'm new to this forum & I will visit/post often! I've got a driveability issue! My C36 runs like it has a dead cylinder under acceleration from 15-30 mph. when I accelerate from one of those constant speeds above 1/2 throttle angle it will run bad & NOT downshift unless accelerator is floored! The problem is gone if I just pull over, shut the car off & immediatly turn the car back on! It may not happen for a couple of days or it will return 20 min later. I took the car to MB of North Houston had it for a week & put a new MAF on it & said..."it's fixed". Yhea right, after $670 bones it still does the same damn thing.(its always easy to blame the MAF or the ECU cause they are easy to replace!) Well the dealer I bought the car from is going to foot the bill so far cause its been doing this since I bought the car. Any suggestions on what the problem is anybody? MB technicians at the dealership are apparantly just using a flow chart to fix the problem & waiting for me to come back so they can try something else?? I've heard of other C36 owners having the same symptom & their ECU was replaced to fix issue?

r u talking about the way the tranny runs when ur car is cold? cause the c36 will keep it in 2nd or even 1st gear up to a fairly high rpm (about 3000) before it'll upshift to help aid in warming up the engine faster...it takes getting used to..

to Steve S: My cars problem doesnt seem to be trans related. It runs rough even at idle. The rough running condition starts after the car is downshifted manually or given enough gas to make the trans downshift on its own! It stays running rough until I kill the ignition & restart. Problem is gone for a while? Very wierd. I think it has to do w/ a switch or a sensor that has to do w/ throttle position & vehicle load. (Maybe software in ECU?)
