I'm now goin' to have my grille painted
As the headlines say I'm going for the glossy black paint on my avantgarde grille, i saw TECK'S c43 in some photos, he had his grille painted glossy black, i think it looks much more cool than the matte painted black grilles mercedes cars used to have in the 80ies from AMG.
This Avantgarde grille does not have the protective flaps on the backside of the grille as to the original has them mounted from factory.
So I made my own flaps, I put them in place with plastic harness, the same stuff cops use on crooks when they are arested not having cuffs on,
So my question is should i put those flaps back after getting the grille back from painting, or let it be without those flaps?
Not putting them back will not cause the paint grind off from the platic harness.
Is the engine going to pick up more crap into the airfilter compartment without these protective flaps?
Not all Avantgarde grilles have these behind the grille.
