You guys, on whatever route you decide on, need to get an accurate head count of participants. Even though sometimes a lot of people sign up and don't show, it's good to know how many people you want. I had 19 on this one and was one of the 2 principle organizers. We mostly drove with our headlights on to help us stay together.
For maximum participation, you need to search the archives, for those in the past that attended, and email or pm them PERSONALLY. I brought in about 33 cars on one drive, doing that. A lot of time, but it brings in a lot of people
Any good drive, up here, set up by us at Mercedesshop, would always draw a sizeable (maybe 7-10) crowd from the Sacramento area, and 2 or 3 that liked to come up from Los Angeles and be with us
