Using New MB Tech, Full of BS?
To make a long story short, I tried a new MB tech in the area and he came back with the following issues:
needs BG fuel system service
Rear seal leak (could cause a fire they told me) needs to be replaced
control arm bushings
steering shock leak
power steering leak
A/C leak
some sort of insulation over the transmission had fallen and could cause a fire on the exhaust? Said it could can be repaired when the tranny is out for the rear seal.
Basically $3500 to make it all better. Seems a little bizarre that the car developed all of these problems in the last 5 months or that one the best independent MB techs in the area neglected to notice them at all. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone has a happy holiday.

Sometimes a good tech evaluates cost of repair and necessity of repair at the current time.
If the tranny is out then do any repairs that would require it to be removed...the labor is in the removal and installation.
The other items may or not need immediate attention and can be done as they reach a point where they are noticeable or begin to effect performance.
