Of course it would be cheaper to commute in a civic, but who wants to do that?
I used to drive mine 95 miles round trip for the 1st year I owned it and loved every minute of it.
I was actually looking at the G35 as a family hauler, but the E55 won me over and bought that instead.Originally Posted by silence
if you look at the cost of the C43 used vs. a lot of newer "just as nice sort of" used cars (for example our G35x) even with maint. it isn't that bad of a commuting prospect.Of course it would be cheaper to commute in a civic, but who wants to do that?

I mean for under 9K what can you get that's small and fun, but still has a backseat. M3s, Civics, Focus, Protoge..I think I'll have to test drive one.

My commute is 78 miles one way, so gas mileage is kind of a big deal for me. I certainly enjoyed the stability, smooth highway ride, good passing power, etc. that the C43 has to offer, it was just more money than I felt like spending on what I consider wasted miles. Its not like I'm out having a fun drive at 6 in the morning every day.
