95 C36 brakes rotors

I was at the dealer and they told me that the left and right side have different part numbers for the rotors. And the left side part number did not even exist. I was told that the diameter was 11" form the dealer. I opted to order Brembo cross drilled rotors that were 288mm in diamter. I hope these will fit. Any one with any input???

Yup, I had my mechanics (I work at a MB dealer) look into rotors when mine went out. They are the same part number L&R. I was initially told they were different and the wrong ones were ordered for my car in July. If I remember correctly the rotors were around $150 ea at my cost.

The C36 uses Front Calipers, Pads and Rotors from an R129 SL 600, and Uses Rear Calipers, Pads and Rotors from a W124 400E.

Its possible for you to save some money by ordering these parts instead of the AMG Parts. The only thing you won't have is the AMG badge on the parts.

You cant do that for the fronts, but you may be able to pull it off in the rear. The front calipers have a different piston depth than the SL and the rotors are not as thick as the SL

FYI

The early year (1995 C36 in USA) has all the part number HWA for the front and rears. IT is specific for C36 only.

The front disc brake dimension on 1995 C36 are 320mm. (which translate to 12.6")

The later model (1996 and 1997 in USA) has a front rotor of 315mm.
And the rear brake are the share accross E430, E320, E500(W124)... (I don't remember exactly what other model share the rear brake with 1996-1997 C36. so go search the other post as I have listed the complete list before..)

The front brake of 1996-1997 C36 of 315mm disc brake and caliper also not share with other model eventhough they no longer have part number coded with "HWA"
