ECU Tuning
Hi Guys.
I'm a new guy from London who's just put an AMG 55 engine in my 430 CLK.
The car is a 2000 cab, and the engine is a 2001 N/A. I'm using my 430 harness and ECU. The problem I have is the car runs out of steam on kick-down around 110+ mph. It's as quick as a normal 55 AMG upto there though a Merc tech says. It's been dynoed with 291hp at the crank. The tech says I have to buy a new AMG ECU to get full power, is that correct?
I've read a couple of you guys have done this transplant already (project C55) for one.
Anyway can anyone help with version coding or getting my ECU flashed to make it think it's a 55?
