Starting problem atypical
I've had this car for four years now and it has been down right reliable with absolutely no issues. Yesterday afternoon when I went to start, the engine starter would cycle and turn the engine but the engine refused to start. The car has been sitting for close to a week and was completely cold. I let it for about 10 minutes and when I did I coaxed the start by pressing the gas pedal a couple times and it finally stumbled on.
I have replaced the crank position sensor (CPS) not too long ago and the starter turns, since yesterday the car has given me no problems - do I now need to go get a gremlin bell for this one?
If anyone has encountered this problem described above could you give me your input and its possible correction. As always, thanks in advance!

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? My thinking - car sits, sediment accumulates around point of entry for fuel in system....?

Thanks for input Dave...
Filter has been replaced less than 10K ago - however, my car is not a daily driver and it's possible that sediment has settled to the bottom and caused it - my car always sits with a full tank of gas. Thus far it has not occurred again...
