The C43 headers were a production item, it went past prototype phase but due to no demand the line was dropped. C43 owners just don't really mod their cars that much (minus the handful of C43 owners on this forum). Same applies to C36 owners as well. unfortunately the W202 has gone the way of the dinosaurs, which is sad b/c it is a great car. My C36 AMG was still my favorite of all my AMGs as far as character is concerned, it felt unlike any other AMG I had ever driven.

where did those prototypes go? maybe you have one hidden somewhere in the backroom collecting dust.

Nope, a few were sold. none remain. Pulleys are still in stock but no more headers.
