Euro alignment specs?

I need to realign my C43 which is stock except for european C43 springs (about an inch lower). Unfortunately, the dealer realigned it to specs (close to zero camber up front) after replacing a front suspension part under warranty and now I have premature wearing of the outside front tires.

My experience is that some manufacturers have their European models with more aggressive alignment specs compared to US models.

Does anyone know what the Euro C43 alignment specs would be compared to the US model?

Thanks,

John

John,

I wish I could help you with those specs. I wanted to ask you a question. Where did you get the European springs for your C43? I have been looking for them for over a year. Do you know the European part number? I understand that if you have that you can order them from your local dealer. Thanks for your help. Good luck getting the information you are looking for.

I'm not sure if I have euro spec springs or if I have the stock springs and the previous owner just cut them on my 95 c36. I looked on the springs and the part number is HWA 202 321 9904. Maybe you can inform me as to what springs these are.

Keith, I order all of my Euro parts from Gert Carnewal. He is primarily a Porsche parts supplier (all of the Rennlist Porsche people know him well).

The reasons I went with Euro MB C43 springs:

Wanted a slightly lower stance for better dynamics and better looks.
Did not want to change ride quality too much. The Euro springs are supposed to be the same overall spring rate as our US springs.
Wanted to stick with MB parts.
Part numbers are:

Front : 210.321.22.04
Rear : 210.324.34.04

Gert can be reached at www.carnewal.com or at info@carnewal.com.

I recall his price being much better than the dealer was able to quote me.

I will say that the swap acheived my goals very effectively.

John,

Thanks I hope that helps. The reasons you stated are the exact reasons I am looking for the European springs so I'm glad to see that you are satisfied with the change.

I think AMG parts are labeled with that HWA prefix. How much lower is your car with the Euro springs?
