235/45-17 and 255/40-17 on stock C43 wheels?
Does this combination work without rubbing, messing up ABS/ESP, etc. on a C43?
Thanks,
John

joboo, thanks for your feedback.
I would have thought that 235/40 front and 255/40 rear would result in unintended consequences with the ESP system due to the different rolling diameters.
Any thoughts?

I have 225 45 17 in front 255 40 17 in rear. No problems. If your car is lowered you will rub. Mine is stock height. If you go 235 you might rub the fender plastic trim well when you turn. I would stick to 225 if I were you.

AMG C43, 1999
Ihave been able ot run 235/40/17 fronts on 8.5" wide rims and 255/40/17 on 9.5" rims in the rear. This was on my 1999, C280.
Only got minor rub during very hard left corners from the left front tire.

Interesting! I need new rears for my C43. I would like to get a little more rubber down, so i don't "sit n' spin" from a start, but I figured that since the 255 are (if I recall) about 3/4 of an inch taller than stock, I thought it would screw up the ESP... No??
Don't really want to go to 18's...
Thanks.
