Question Stoptech breaklines or Goodridge?

Regarding braided steel lines for my c43 amg!
What brand should I buy?
Should I go for Stoptech as linked below or should I buy Goodridge?
Best quality for best price!
Where do I find best price for Goodridge lines?

Stoptech are they huge in brakeworld market?
Are they known for quality?
Ebay seller has a good price for these lines about 56 US Dollars for fronts!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stopt...Q5fAccessories

I only know that Goodridge are know for great stuff!
So what can you say about Stoptech all feedback is welcome!
Thanx

i assume probably, as bbk usually come with ss braided brake lines.

ss braided brake lines is not a common thing to fail if you're wondering why the price difference. stoptech has some significantly cheaper common sized replacement rotors for brembo's big brake kit (where 13" brembo rotors for two piece assemblies are sometime 0.5k or more each) that seem to hold up well.

sorry for my bad english!
technical description isn't always easy for me to understand since I'm not english or american!

so what you're saying, both brands are equal compared in quality?
It doesn't matter which one I buy?
Stoptech cheaper price!
Goodridge cost more!
Equal quality for both?

will stoptech bolt on directly on my original AMG/ATE calipers?
the Stoptech SS line attachment bracket does it use same thread size as stock calipers bolt on hole?
Bad explanation can't find any better description!

money these days are like a tight ***!
I ain't rich because I'm driving a C43 amg!
If I can get Goodridge SS lines for 120 bux ok!
Stoptech for 56 bux is even better!
But I'll go for Goodridge as they have a good rep!
www.formymercedes.com sells these for 175 or 195 bux I think!
That ain't a dirt cheap price!
If someone can direct you to the right place for the best deal, you'll shop there!

Just browsed the link you attached, they don't have SS lines for my C43!

Anytime you are playing with the brakes or braking system on your car - in my opinion - its the wrong time to go cheap.Good luck with your project.

now I get it!
thanx for explanation.

I don't go for cheap and crap parts for my car!
I bought Porterfield R4S pads 5 years ago, I still have them on my car!
I wanted SS-lines for my car, but the US dollar currency is now pretty steep in value!
So It costs more to pay for imported parts!
If I can get the Goodridges lines for around 120 bux it's a good deal I think?

Maybe stoptech's lines aren't that bad either?
Cheers

I found them on tirerack for 118 dollars!
It's a good price I think!
Btw I live in Sweden !
I will go for tireracks stuff.
Is there 4 lines in a box: 2 fronts 2 rear (for 118 dollars)?

Tirerack's website lists the kit as a 4 line kit. I used Stoptech lines on another vehicle and had no issues with their product. Thought they were a quality product for the price.

I just realized that Stoptech is selling the fronts for 56 US Dollars and the rears for 58 US Dollars!
I didn't read the content of this auction completely!
1 package comes with only 2 lines for the fronts!
Second package comes with the rear lines
My misstake.
Then it doesen't matter which one I buy!
They are similar in price
I also guess they are equal in quality compared to each other!
Here they are:

I have found out that C43 uses the same calipers and rotors as the 210 E55 AMG!

Technical data for ATE brake hoses are:
Then it must apply for other brand hoses?

Front:
385 mm hose length
outer thread M10x1
inner thread M10x1
Thread lenght 14mm
Spanner size 14/15

Rear:
280mm
outer thread M10x1
inner thread M10x1
thread lenght 14mm
spanner size 14/15

These technical data numbers above are the same for C43 AMG and the 210 E55 AMG!
So these Goodridge SS line hoses must fit my C43 if they are made for E55?
There are no Goodridge SS lines on Ebay for C43, only for C36 and E55!
I will buy the E55 SS lines if they are the ones for my car!
I asked the seller from Ebay he couldn't give me specific information if the E55lines fit or not fit!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've seen other hoses with 387mm front and rear are 278mm
and uses thread lenght 14,5mm!
What's the difference?
Only size lenght and thread lenght!

eclectic assortment of cars
I think you would be fine with either Goodridge or Stoptech, both are reputable companies. Being in Europe, Goodridge may be easier to get as they are an English company, but Stoptech is American and thus may be easier for us on this side of the ocean.

I've got a Stoptech 328mm big brake kit on my S2000, and I've used Goodridge anodized fittings and stainless lines on my built Saab 900 Turbo. All good stuff. Never any problems with either company's products.

hey buddy!
I will buy either Goodridge or Stoptech!
No prob!
It's strange that Goodrige only offers these SS lines for the E55 application!
I know C43 and E55 uses the same calipers and rotors!
So a kit for the E55 must fit the C43?????

The length of the brakelines are they the same on both cars???

You drive a SAAB TURBO maybe you should come and visit me in SAAB city!
Dudes's drivin' a C43 AMG in SAAB city!
Awesome!
Thanks
