Calling all NOR CAL W202 AMG owners!
I suggest the following:
Meet at Starbucks on the corner of Stevens Creek and De Anza Blvd in Cupertino at 11am. Grab coffee, meet everyone, and then head on the drive.
Go up De Anza Blvd to CA-9 through Saratoga and to CA-35 which is relatively easy to drive. Then from 35 we take 92 over to 280 North, and exit in San Bruno to eat at Hooters at Tanforan. OR: we can continue on 92 to Foster City and eat at Red Robins in Bridgepointe.
The drive part would take an hour and a half tops. Think of this being from 11am-3pm including coffee/drive/lunch.
I suggest this route because of the relative ease of the roads. CA-84 (Woodside) is fun but really technical. Our W202's struggle there because of the weight and slow steering (I've had to hand over hand it in some of these turns on 84 and even drop it into 1st).
Our cars would do much better on CA-9 and CA-35.
Anyways, just an idea, let me know what you guys think!
