ok, i feel like a complete tool asking this question, because i feel like i should know the answer
. anyways, ive attached a pic below ... see that part of the engine that the AMG name plate sits on? what is that? (the center section that look like pipes crossing over from one side of the engine to the other).

Cosmetic cover
The piece with the MB logo is a cover just like the C43's, the straight (square) pieces at the top are the filters

The AMG plaque sits on the intake manifold... the two boxes on the sides are the airboxes. The front piece that has the Mercedes 3-pointed star is just a plastic cover piece to make the engine bay look nice.

thanks for the replies. my question was in regards to the intake manifold (the piece with the amg plaque), not the air filters. just wanted to clarify that point ... i wouldn't want you all thinking i was THAT stupid. lol.
