Power Lock Issue

My power locks stopped working last night. I hit the unlock button on the fob and the lights flash, so the car is getting a signal, but the locks don't lock or unlock. Same deal with the trunk, won't pop with the remote. I can use the blade key to get in. Also, the switch on the center console won't operate the locks either. I'm guessing a fuse and going to go dig into it today. Any one else experienced this? Thanks.

I have not but I have a question, when you try to engage the locks do you hear the air trying to open or close the locks? The locking system is a vacuum system (much like everything else in the car) if its trying to work you will hear a hissing sound like air escaping. If you do not hear this sound most likely you have an electrical issue as the vacuum system isn't even being engaged. I would start with fuses and then check the switch, after that its onto the wiring and vacuum system, GOOD LUCK

Fuse 2 was blown in the trunk, which is a 30A fuse. I replaced it and it blew again the next day, so I may have a short some where. I replaced it again and we'll see what happens. I'm working on the other car right now, so I'll mess more with the Merc when I am done. Thanks.

yup ... sounds like you are grounding out that's what is causing you to pop fuses I bet. You will have to trace down the wires involved..... I DO NOT ENVY YOU. GOOD LUCK!!!!
