I don't have the specs with me here...but you need to get to almost stock offsets. I had to run spacers on the front and rear to get them to work. What wheels are you using...AMG or knock offs? My new wheels are 18s and are specific for the car (not factory but from an OEM for Merc) so no spacers needed.
My rims are stock off sets and I run 235X35X19 in the front and 265X30X19 in the rear with no rubbing, granted I am not lowered YET but I don't expect to rub in the front when I do lower it as it looks like I have plenty of clearance, I might however rub in the back as it looks REAL close but I jacked up the car and the tire fit in the wheel well so maybe I won't.

1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
For those looking for a stiff setup, you can fit springs from the SL500 / SL600 129.
all you have to do is cut the to the hight you like.
as for me i just got me self the following.
Front: Bilstein springs from the W201 and before any have any doubts, they are even stiffer than the ones on the AMG SL60 129.
Rear: H&R sport from the W211. they are on the short side, but i know i can deal with that. spring should go on the car on mobday, so ill post a few pics soon.
