Venting over Fletcher Jones NB service
Customer reports that vehicle runs hot and radiator light stays on.
-Found coolant leak @ bypass tube on firewall
-Removed wiper assembly to access
-Replaced tube and re-assembled
Here is where it gets good:
I said fine to the 800 dollar repair. So Tony (pickle sucker) gives me another price of 980 later on because they didn't realize the hours involved in repairing the hose.
ITS A 1995!!!!! 15 years old. And you don't know the price on a repair????????????
Finally, they drove the car, the radiator blew because they claimed it was clogged and blew. Tony (pickle sucker) calls me back and doesn't even have a price, but says it will be expensive to make the coolant system work.
Had the car towed to Turbo Ted in Costa Mesa the same day.() Ted told me my car had a bad fan clutch and thats why it was overheating!!!!!!! Didn't have a bad radiator, but i replaced it anyways because it was old.

I hate it when dealers do this crap.
In shopping around for repairs, I have saved myself thousands of dollars and have had better workmanship done.

Go to the Laguna Niguel shop for your repairs if you are going to use a dealer. I have never taken my car anywhere else and have never had a problem. Expensive but worth it if your budget allows.

Yeah, IMHO it is better to take our older cars to indy shops who specialize in the this era of MB. Most of the dealerships aren't very well versed in cars that are much more than 8 or 10 years old. Not saying there aren't SOME techs out there who know their way around our cars, but there just aren't a lot of them anymore. I haven't been here yet so I can't personally recommend, but I have heard good things and intend to take my car there next time I need some professional work done:

A little trek from NB, but I'll let you know if it's worth it
