2003 Sl55 1995 C36
can't diagnose the problem I'm having
I've had my c36 for less than a month. Already I have replaced the radiator, coolant hoses, thermostat, air filter, cooling fan clutch, and the front flex disc.
After ALL that I have another problem I haven't diagnosed. (thank god its not the cooling, the only thing i haven't replaced is the pump). The car does not want to rev past 4k. When I am stopped, it shakes up and down. The tranny jumps gears hard. (I am used to a tranny slipping, this is the opposite)
503C43 ////AMG told me the wiring harness of the 36 tend to go bad. The connections don't look solid at all, but the price i got was 1,700 installed. A lot of money for something that I don't know if its the culprit.
Anyone else had similar problems?

You would think that if your car is running that poorly, it would throw a code. Even if the CEL isn't on, I would hook a scanner up and look for any trouble codes. You should be able to check your spark plugs and look at the color of the electrodes, are any wet, etc. Just a start. You need air, compression, fuel, and spark to get combustion, so you gotta figure out what is lacking. I have heard of the wiring harness problem but I don't have any experience with how it fails.
