Question Parts number for rear diff oil?

Can anybody confirm this is the correct parts number for replacing my
rear-axle differential oil?
A001 989 330 312

Do I need a new copper gasket or something on the plug?
Doing an oil change on the engine needs a new copper gasket on the bolt.
So is it the same with rear axle diff?
Or I only screw back the bolt after the oil change?
Thanx

I use the Redline Shockproof Lightweight gear oil.

I hope that helps.

It is good practice to put a new copper gasket after every oil change. Costs only peanuts for the copper ring but aimed at avoiding drips and other possible leaks. I always put a high quality hypo oil in all my diffs. Never ever had a problem

MB partsman said no copperplate gasket needed for the rear axle???????????
Isn't this a standard procedure?
Drain the diff, fill up with new oil put the gasket on the bolt, screw it back, then rock 'n' roll finito!

I was looking for the parts number for rear diff oil.
Isn't there a parts number thread on this forum?

Difficult to understand the parts guy. IMO a copper ring is necessary, but perhaps not if the bolt has a conic thread
