Rust Recall
Get some rust that seems to wanna develop near the trunk latch. Is there a recall for this on our cars? I believe there was one for the W210 bodied cars for the same problem but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone know?

do you think there are such long warranties on an out of date w202?
I think the time limit was 8 years for rust claim.
I bet you've got the best warranties in the world in United States, because all international companies are afraid of lemon lawsuits from mighty American consumer organization.
In europe dealership would have said pay from your own pocket, if you have rust on your car.
Repaint it or get another part is the only way to go.
Can you put up a picture where you have the rust, it would be interesting to see where these cars rust so we can keep an eye on certain parts.
