Flex disc...

hi all - I've got a slight crack in the my flex disc and was wondering if anyone has replaced these before? I've never messed with driveshaft stuff before so not sure how to go about this one. How soon should I replace or just keep an eye on it - car is smooth all over the rpm and mph range - any help/advice is appreciated!

Replace it now, it's cheap and easy. If you wait the repairs from the damage will be way more costly as well as time consuming. I changed my rear flex disc in 30 min or less but I had a lift, you could easily change it out in less than 1 hour and I think I got my flex disc for less than $100.

You have 2 of them... One in between the transmission and the drive shaft and one in between the drive shaft and the rear differential.

Check out these horror photos....

Replacing both at the same time is the best way to go, less than $200 and about an hour or so to prevent SERIOUS damage

I replaced them on my previous 99 C230K but never yet on the C43. I believe they are fine plus it doesnt "clank" or bang when putting it into gear.
