Hey all, bought a 98' C43 (MY first car) back in late February and I love it! Picked it up for $5300 in NY, with 137xxx on it (rather happy) although it isn't perfect. The rims are, as I've seen in many threads, peeling along with road rash. The driver side mirror was broken by the owner the day before I bought it (fluid was still leaking out, and that's a $465 MB fix ). My front bumper is gonna need some paint soon, and I'm missing the dreaded joint piece in between fog lights lol. All in all I'm very happy, she still pulls strong and handles well. What sold me most was how mechanically sound the car was, with practically new tires and brake pads.

If anyone can help me out with these few little things, she'd be almost perfect haha. I plan on res/2nd cat delete, as well as a chip in the future. Any other suggestions?

I'm gonna have her for a while, so I'm gonna be on here a lot from now on haha. My dad has owned only MB's all his life, and I'm carrying on the tradition He's only owned 4 cars, all but one made it over 500k miles

Thanks!
- AJVec

(took that dealer emblem off btw)

22 X3, 21 330e, 97 M3, 97 C36 (sold), but on the hunt for a clean, low-mile C43!
She looks good! Welcome to the forums!

BTW, is that snow I see in your pic?? Where/when was this taken?

*EDIT - oops, I see you're in CT...damn, didn't realize how bad it is up in the NE. I just laid out at the pool earlier for a couple hours cuz we had such a nice, warm day (~84 degrees)! lol

Oh those were taken early march, we had a crazy snow storm then 60 degree weather so there was a lot of fog everywhere. That's actually down the road from Uconn haha.

Yeah, the interior is flawless, the exterior is eh. eh... hahah

Hi, You have made a good choice, same color as mine and I hope the car lives up to your expectations. Just a small tip.... Don't forget you have a 13 years old vehicle which equates to an experienced lady, so be gentle to her and don't thrash her too hard Drive her firmly but use a soft gloved hand
Look you soon need some suspension upgrades to get her lowered. Browse through the threads on here, plenty of info to read

That's what I was thinking of, but as of right now my roads are utterly destroyed by this past winter. I'm gonna wait until my town repaves a few of them before I lower it, but I'm def. bookmarking a bunch of threads on here about that.

Any help with that joint piece?
