I just found this cool little trick using the EPC. You can enter in your Vin number and then press "CTRL" + "F6" and it will tell you:

(These numbers are from my vehicle)

Sales designation: C43 (This ones obvious)
Order number: 0 0 706 00153 (what do these mean?)
Delivery date: 16 07 1999 (This ones obvious)
Paint code: 040U (my paint job is the 040 black, this makes sense)
Equipment: 581A (must be what options I have)
Engine number: 113944 60 008910 (113944 I get, what bout the rest?)
Transmission number: 722631 01 537906 (722631 I get, what about the rest?)
SA code: (there's a lot of them)

Now if I only knew what these numbers meant...

Here is a handy little link to learn how to use the EPC if you do not already know how:

Figured out what some of it means...

Equipment: 581A = Special black leather option
SA codes = Special equipment (I have 34), SA is short for German words that mean "special equipment"

One thing that is interesting to note is that one of my option codes was for the anti theft/burglary alarm which I do not have, I wonder if they were referring to the tow alarm

Could be those other numbers after the engine and trans type are the particular serial numbers?
