So, interestingly the owners manual for the c55 says 1605kg but the technical data sheet below says 1570kg. conflict within their own info. The other differences within the data sheets from the C43 are below as well marked AMG in the right hand column. As for the 0-60, of course, it was a bit of fun on my part (as i had a moment of doubt as to whether it was a c55 or a C43 before i contacted AMG Classic and got confirmation). It's on pretty new Pirelli p zeros. I don't intend to hoon it around too much any way and a bloke with an iphone isn't the best measuring tool.
One of the mechanics at the shop owns a C43 and if very excited to be working on this. He is going to put together a list of differences he can see from his perspective, along with engine and tranny numbers.
re: the taller gearing, i know porsche partly did that with my 981 spyder to improve 0-60 times (i can hit 75 in 2nd which is crazy), so potentially one fewer change in the run might improve times.. lets face it, the gearbox is no PDK with lightning changes. Not that it was ever meant to be and no complaints on my part.. i love the period experience.
i remember you have a FANTASTIC silver C55, isn't..?
(-;-ZAYED-;-)
Hey Zayed, Good thankyou!, the years are passing too quick. I still have the C55 and still working on C36 and W201, though kids keep me far more busy now =)
