I've been running KV85 wires on all my daily drivers and track cars (including my double duty ride now) for years - I've never had a failure on both OEM and aftermarket (MSD) ignition systems, I highly recommend them.

Excellent build quality and built for life.

I couldn't agree more, but if the Magnecor as as good or better then OEM plus adds some bling under the hood, why not?

Nothing wrong with some custom stuff. Kinda like Wheels or window tint. Just wouldn't expect much for performance gains.

I couldn't agree with you more, SuperB. I'm a fan of function before form. That being said, as long as the Magnecors give me OEM performance and are in the ballpark, cost-wise, I'm good across the board. I certainly don't expect plug wires to add anything other than OEM-expected performance.

What I DON'T want is to buy them and then find out they suck ***** in either performance or build quality.

Thanks for the pics, DRB. Did the wires all fit? Those small wires look awfully short....

I have pics of these wires on my w210 E55 in the album labeled "barn" under my profile...if anyone is interested in seeing them on a 113 motor.

ZAYED,,

I assume the c43 is a 4.3L version of the 113 right? I bought mine here:

http://www.alamomotorsports.com/Magn..._mercedes.html

85240 2005-1998 4.3, 5.0, 5.4, 5.5 - M113 V8 engines, $169.43

Perhaps a little more $ than amazon, but they got here really fast and everything fit. Hope it helps.

Good luck. I love the C43 so I sneak over here now and again to check out your cars. I'll head back over to my E55 hole now :-)

No Problem! I just did my plugs & wires about 3 weeks ago, so everything is still fresh in my head. I'm helping out a fellow 113'er (w210 E55) on his change out over here:

https://mbworld.org/forums/w210-amg/...lug-wires.html

...but with the engines being of the same basic layout, a lot may cross ref. if you guys want to check it out.
