Unfortunately I was unable to snap a pic as I caught it out of the corner of my eye at the last second but I saw a Passat with some monoblocks like the ones pictured below



I have to admit it looked pretty good on the VW.

That's a pretty common thing amongst the Dub crowd. The 5x112 wheel classifieds forum on VWVortex is full of Mercedes wheels that have been fitted to VWs or Audis. Generally all that's needed are hubcentric rings and maybe spacers, depending on application.

I'm giving my friend mine for his gti when I get new wheels.

The only thing that bugs me is when they don't switch out the center cap!

Yeah this guy had the star center caps and it did look a little cheesy but the monos looked good.
