My harness is fried :(

Yesterday the original harness finally had enough and my car went wacko!

We thought at first that a bad coil pack was the culprit but he saw some smoke coming from wires that were touching and immediately cut the car off. We agreed the car will stay at his shop until a new harness is installed.

My question is compatibility, my car is a 1995 and I have heard the C280 will work but I am confused because I did not think this model had ASR. I am willing to pay whatever it costs and the dealer quoted me $1720 after a 10% discount. First question, does anyone know where I can source this part other than the dealership? Second, will a 1995 harness work, if so please provide a part#? Cannot wait to get the new one in there and not have to worry about this anymore!

I was told this part# 202-540-40-32 will work but the dealership states 202 540 03 32 is the original. I really need a definitive answer and would hate to get the wrong one! I had read many c36 owners who have had success with the 280 harness.

Thx Guys!

It does have ASR, just splurged on the correct harness. I was told the c280 would not fit right and it was too tight in certain areas...not messing with it and no ASR, forget about it!

Thx!
