With such a low production number, and 14 years passed since the initial release, how many C43's do you think are still running on the road? Factor in ones that were totaled or that are in scrap yards, I think we are below 1000 for sure, maybe around 800 or so.
Also, it's insane to think that my car is 14 years old, still looks like a newer style car, and is faster then a lot of cars in my town stock as hell. lol.
i put the h&r sports on. no rubbing thankfully. got an even stance right now but will no for sure once springs settle. rides great. im a mb tech at an mb dealer so i drive alot of merc's and it rides awesome. better than expected. Importfan..you mite wana check your spring shims. they vary in size from like 8-24ish mm. so you could proly fix your rubbing problem with diff shims. and im runnin the stock 17in rim still. i mite rub with 18in not sure what you got tho.

I'm running 21mm shims in the front, 17mm in the rear. I did all the calculations and bought the appropriate shims, yet I still somehow managed to drop 1" lower than anticipated. I'm running 17" in the front, 18" in the rear. Front rubbing is what's confusing me (17x8, 225/45/17 fronts).

Not taking anything away, but I definitely don't think the W202 (regardless of model) looks like a newer style car. It definitely shows it's age. Still great cars tho
Old thread back from 2012 (800) how many c43s you think are still on the road today 2020 in the US
between the guys on the forum and some other amg clubs private collectors
Would like to hear opinions or if anyone has access to any data

I imagine it will be pretty difficult to work out. I know that in the UK there is a data base where you can see how many vehicles of a specific model are still road registered. I'll see if I can find it. Last time I checked and that's probably several years ago, I recall seeing less than 300 on the roads.
Update: Found the site and some info. As of the 3rd quarter 2019 there were 70 C36s and 154 C43s still road registered in the UK. No data on those which may be still good for the road but not registred.

Thx DRBC43AMG this should be useful , they must have something similar here in the US but that’s a low number considering there was around 3100 in production for the entire world
Great stuff ,would you know the numbers of members here on the forum that own c43s ?
Since we can’t be sure about how many c43s are still out on the road can we figure out how many c43 members we have
let’s do a count post some updated pics year and mods , forums been quiet let get it popping again
I'm still a member here. It's the only forum that brings me sales on my air boxes. And I've received so much help fixing my cars.
I have 2 c43s, 98 black and 99 white. Black mine and white is my wife's. Both have my modded air boxes and elbow mod.
As a side note I believe I've sold 20 air boxes for our c43s.
Car runs so much better with my box and elbow. Even on hot days the cars run smooth because the engine breathes better.
Any of you interested just let me know. Some pics on Instagram: speed43mods
This is mine in an artsy photo i took behind a support beam. Getting ready for repaint soon, i repainted behind every fender panel of the car that i could so it could last forever. Next is the top layer and some nice concave 5 spoke wheels.

I know it's to late but for anyone else. 3M has a undercoating that works really well for this type of application. You can even sand it and paint over it. It's like a thick primer but waterproof.
Interesting. I painted and reapplied silicone to the chassis itself to where the car is stitched together, from the kicker panel to the front fender liner and A pillar.
Killahbee nice c43 don’t see to many in New York if you interested in bumper insert Benz dealer has them in stock I just picked one up a few weeks ago ,mines needs a paint job as well have you gotten any quotes
