Just had a repair quote from a Indy, 5.5 hours labor to replace lower control arm bushings & ball joints. I don't mind paying a fair price but this seems a bit much, what do you think?

 

With an alignment? If so, thats good. Just looked it up on alldata. 1.3 ea ball joint. 2.6 for R/I both lower control arms. +.2 for each bushing. I don't know what they charge for an alignment but we get 1.2. So total ,strictly alldata time plus align is more than 6.5. Some overlap time with the ball joints and lca bushings so that sounds about right.

 

That time sounds pretty decent to me.
