Fuel Filter Question
Just ordered an OEM fuel filter for my '97 C36 and was going to try and save some money by putting it on myself. Any special tools or precedures that I need to know about? Im a newbie to working on MB but the fuel filter looks like a simple fix. Any help would be appreciated!

Be prepared to attack serious rust corrosion on the screws and filter/pump mounting brackets. You may end up having to get new ones.
If DIY the filter, don't forget that you are working with explosive matter (fuel). Fill the new filter with fresh gas before connecting (pump will not run dry). You may want to use a fuel clamp to stop fuel flowing from the tank until you get everything disconnected/connected. Good luck and keep us posted

1999 C43 AMG
not difficult at all. i just did one on my c43 in about 10min. granted im an mb dealer tech its not hard at all. simple hand tools are needed. nothing crazy. make sure you notice the ARROW pointing in the direction of flow. that is definitely important.
