C36 ECU and C280 ECU compatibility ?

C36 ECU and C280 ECU compatibility ?
Hi there,
My C36 suffers from cold start and hot start rough idle, sometimes requiring several cranks of the ignition to get it going. When it does idle freely - it does so only at around 500 rpm.
Local mechanic had a thurough look, and determined that the ECU and the idle computer, though connected, aren't communicating properly. There is also a wrong firing angle issue. Anyways - he says the problem can not be solved by reflashing either unit and will equire replacement of both.
I have a question, in order to verify something another person told me - that I could just get a normal W202 C280 ECU and have it reflashed - that it would be identical to my AMG marked ECU unit ..
Can anyon confirm or deny this ? Tnx in advance~!
