CEL not there...?

CEL not there...?
So I went to get my C43 inspected for the first time in NC today. I failed because of my tints (
) and because the CEL failed to illuminate. I had known for a while the the CEL bulb was out, but didn't know this would make it fail inspection. I got home and went to change the bulb when I realised there is NO provision on my instr. cluster for a check engine light... the lens that is in there has nothing that says check engine light on it. I would really appreciate it if someone from the US could show me on their C43 where the CEL should be. I'm thoroughly confused, as my car is US spec, and as far as I can tell the cluster is original
