Thanks!
The first PN is indeed the Mercedes one. Dunno why you listed it as "Meyle".
This is what my Program offers me as Aftermarket parts based on this PN:
http://www.daparto.de/Teilenummernsu...ler/2104100815

I probably will buy the ZF/Lemförder Part

ZAYED,,
Lemförder and Boge is the same company.
Lemförder is OEM to MB.

TRW does OEM for MB

Sure, "Lemforder" is a one of the ZF group,, "Boge" is a company who very famous in hole Europe specialist in "Air compressed solutions",

they joined to the ZF group in 1981,, but they separated from the ZF group in 2002,, as the company who produced the Items out of Europe,,

"TRW" has the international contract with MB since 1979, signed by the bros. "Mark & John plant",,

they stopped producing some production, as agreement with a ZF group out of the U.S.....

This is only partially correct. In terms of the OE Flexdiscs, its always "SGF" here in germany.
Actually all Flexdiscs on any Benz i ever saw with a star Logo were from "SGF". SGF is the inventor of the Flexdisc and stands for "Süddeutsche Gelenkscheiben Fabrik", or in English "Southern-German Flexdisc Company".

I bought a Lemförder Flexdisc last year for my W124, and guess what came out of the Lemförder Packaging? Right a "SGF" Flexdisc (without Star Logo).

So i believe that SGF maybe produces them for Lemförders Aftermarket.

I got very lucky with mine, I had it in the shop for a large job so I had my mechanic look at my rear flex because I thought it was nearly due and he could not believe how it was still on there!!! It was terribly cracked and the original. Could have been a pricey repair if I would have let it go!

I got the one below, it states OEM:

http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...x%20Disc%20Kit

Does the rear typically go bad before the front disc? My other one looked fine compared to the rear.

when everything is taken apart, it's better to replace both flexdiscs.
it will give you some calm knowing both discs are brand new.
I assume leaving one old disc and putting one new disc is not a good idea?

good to know, thanks.
German quality parts plays in their own league.
Lemförder is the only brand I would have on my car if it was an aftermarket part!

I was told by a very reputable tech that the front was is in good shape, it showed no cracking or major wear like the rear and stated there was no need to replace. I had planned to replace both

As far as I know Meyle is one of the OE suppliers in the US. I'm not particularly sure if they are created to Mercedes OE specs, or if they are Lemforder parts rebranded as Meyle.
