anyone removed lamp wipers?

anyone removed lamp wipers?
The other day I notice my little lamp wiper on driver side is spun around and touching my bumper. So I fool with it and take it off to find that it must have come loose and the spindle it is mounted on stripped the wiper arm grooves smooth. So my choice is buy another headlamp wiper arm(which happens to be the most useless invention ever) or just remove them altogether. Smooth look without them
Now I have to remove entire motor assembly. Anyone done this, I looked under hood and its just a mess of shiite behind those lamps? Or should I just leave it alone? Get new blade ?-MOE

I don't know anyone who removed the wipers on a W202 (other cars yes), but having had it all apart, it's not that difficult a job.
Just remove your headlight... which is the most difficult part, because the screw on each side near the grill. The C43 has two air inlets which get in the way of these, so you just need to use a wrench and get in there. After you get the headlight out, the rest is pretty apparent.
Oh, and get the new trim pieces for under the headlights. You need ones without holes! Most W202s have these instead.

i want them...
call me crazy....but if you take them off i may want to buy them...if the price is right...let me know....also it there a special swith used to cut them on, or they turn on with the windshield washer.....redheaddreadloc@aol.com

yup, your crazy. I f you want you can have em. I need new trim that does not have holes for wiper rod. When I get these pieces priced you can have my wiper equipment for that amount plus shipping, fair enough?-MOE

that's more than fair....just let me know the damage....i would trade ya mine...but you would have to get them painted....i think the mb ones come prepainted...i could be mistaken tho.....let me know....

removing the headlight wipers?!?!? I added them to my car and do use them a fair lot (I use my car a lot and hate wasting time washing the car too much) - these wipers are one of the most usefull modifications I did!
