W202 Headlight Washer question
Hello, I have a c43 amg and the front headlight wipers arent spraying. ive replaced both motors on the bottle and they still wont spray. i put the air compressor to the hose going to the headlights and water came spraying out. my front left headlight wiper motor is bad though and stops intermittently. i was wondering maybe the headlight motor helps push the water spray so maybe that was the problem. anyone have any idea what it can be any input would help out. thanks

I'm not versed in these problems, but I doubt the wiper motor pushes the water. Mine both work fine with new blades too. The washers are mandatory when you have the Xenon light option. The washers work only when the lights are on and you order the wind-shield wipe and clean. I would get the wiper motors out and check if all is fine and greased nice. When both work, I would investigate the washer aspect. Could be a valve blocked somewhere in the lines.

Have you confirmed the two new pumps are working? Could be a wiring issue going to there? When you hooked up compressed air was it where the normal pump would be, or further down the line somewhere?

Yes. The pumps are both brand new OEM from the factory and are working no problem. I hooked the compressed air up where the pump meets the tube and it blew completely through the lines no problem

actually correction! the pump isn't getting any voltage. i checked the pump and it isn't making a humming sound and it isn't getting any voltage when i checked it with my meter. checked all the fuses with the meter and all of them were good. so is it a relay issue? does anyone know which relay it is

There are "3" #s of the Wiper Relay, depend of your spec. mode,, and all these #s both are the same,

If you are talking about the headlight wipers, I got a new pair from the dealer but they where mega bucks
Next time I'll get a small new wiper blade remove the rubber, then cut and replace the old rubber on the headlight wipers. That should work at a fraction of the cost
