Problem with Climate control

I just bought this car about 2 months ago and am still working out the kinks in it before I get it on the road. One of them being that I dont seem to have any control over the heater controls, and absolutely no control over the fan speed. I can't even turn it off for that matter, I have to disconnect the blower motor fuse in order to turn it off. Now my question to you is whether there is some sort of separate control for the fan or is that the job of the climate control sitting on the dash. Any help would be grateful. Thank you!!

The climate control unit controls temp and fan speed, use the button with a picture of the fan with a "+" and "-" on it to control the speed.

Check out post #92 in this thread, it shows how do go into the diagnostic mode which could help pin point the problem:

I do know how to use the plus/minus buttons, the issue is that the fan continues running at maximum speed even if the car is turned off and there is no keys in the ignition.

Do you have the "rest" button turned on? If not it is probably your blower motor regulator.
