Unreal battery life...
My car has been in the garage for about four months so I decide to take it out..battery dead.I proceed to dive into the trunk and to my surprise the original battery! 14 years later finally crapped out.Im not original owner but I am the second and have owned it since 07.Replaced it with a Bosh premium performance battery for $123.00 from the local pep boys.I went online and this is a great price on a premium battery..an equivalent die hard was $179.00..who knows how much a dealer batt would be.Just wanted to share that with anyone in case you need a battery.

Got 11 and 12 years battery life respectively on my 2 w202's, so your 14 years is a great life span! Both batteries where original factory fitted.

Mine died this past Fall.
Just don't close the trunk with the battery pulled out!
That key insert can be quite the pain if not used regularly.
