C43 Euro Springs

Sup to everyone, I just wanted to do a euro drop without any major Aftermarket changes. The springs are $75 fronts for both and $71 rear for both, but I am planning to do the shocks all around, maybe OEM, or Bilstein andd if so, which Bilsteins? and bushings. what do you think is the best pads? I got #1 from the dealer with the springs and the 4 shock kit 210-990-03-99. Has anyone done so and how is the feel / ride / look?

Hold up... maybe I've been missing something from these other euro-spring threads, but why are Euro spec AMG springs for the C43 a 210 partnumber, and how on earth do they cost $35 a pop for OEM springs, AMG or not....

Don't know, ask MB. They o.obviously raided their parts bin. If they are so cheap, get out and buy them!

My best guess would be if by any, the higher ground clearance in the US spec. I don't think they are cheap, they just did that for a higher stance back in 98-00. These "Euro" specs are actually pretty stiff, so maybe they have possible harsher roads in Europe per se. Either way, it's for looks anyway. The only downside of this would be that you would rip the bumper when you go over the parking stoppers as you pull away.

I found from a old thread a VIN for a MY2000 C43 AMG Euro:
FIN:WDB2020331F895478
This is what I get for euro stuff:
Front Shocks: 202-323-41-00 AMG Same as U.S.
Front Springs: 210-321-22-04
Rear Shock: 202-326-30-00 AMG Same as U.S.
Rear Spring: 210-324-34-04

As far as I'm concerned, everything on a C43 aside from Spring and shocks is the same US/Euro in general.

c43 has bilstein shocks from the factory. I would price them out from the dealer vs bilstein from a retailer.

that's not abnormal at all. many of the cars share parts. in a 202 there are many different part numbers, 140's, 210, 170, etc. totally normal. 202, 208, 170, 210 all have basically the same front end.

Not true..... The Euro 43's have a different trim inside: carbon imitation instead of the wooden (plastic?) trim you have in N. America

Where did you get those numbers? They don't quite match up with the info DRB posted in his other thread with numbers from the EPC. It doesn't make sense that the lower Euro spec cars would have the same shocks as the US Monster trucks.

Everything, except for the springs/shocks, engine/entire emissions system including OBD, trim, and corner lights

They are VERY painful from the dealer. Bilstein from retailer will always be cheaper, but won't be "AMG Valved"

And yes I'm aware of that, but seems odd that a seemingly quite specific AMG part would be taken from the bin. The springs and shocks are definitely different on AMG cars, and the AMG shocks have quite a premium on them, so I was surprised the springs were so cheap. Though if they're just normal 210 springs maybe that explains why. I wonder if the US spec, 202 numbered C43 springs are more expensive/AMG branded.

I was actually looking at the EPC and I noticed the numbers from DRB that were given were the "Esprit" edition. Not sure if the 43 came with a esprit package, so I could be wrong, but with that vin, for sure I am getting the US shocks / 210 springs / pads

It's actually real wood. You can see it from the back sides of the trim pieces.

Wow, I didn't know and looks like MB no expenses saved for once. I can't say the same for the Euro carbon trim...
