Another C43 Bites the Dust
#26
So gutted for you mate, I lost my first C36 a drunk driver smashed into it the night I bought it.
Nearly brought me to tears.
Your be back there again, just really sad to see a beautiful benz with a smashed body.
Better to use a winter beater than a rare AMG, I use mine in the summer only.

Anyway, there's no way I can fix this "slowly" (the cheaper route) because I have no yard/garage/driveway to do so (gotta love the DC area), so I've decided to sell the car whole.
Here's the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251434410308?forcerRptr=true&item=251434410308&viewitem=

An absolute crying shame.
If I hadn't just bought a 2nd C43 (never wrecked) for $2300 I'd buy your's and ship it down here. I'll ask around in case I have any friends on the market.

UPDATE:
So I went to the shop and saw it stripped down and asked them to show me the frame damage. Basically it's the front apron forward of the strut tower...tech said it can be replaced easily (1 hr) and will be 100% driveable (no "won't drive the same again" worries).
I paid them for disassembly and took the car home. Going to take it to a body shop out of state for lower repair costs (and the ability to provide my own parts = less $).
I do have a question though:
I need the part # for the passenger (right) side air inlet. That was DESTROYED so I can't get the #; also the EPC I'm using doesn't have it in there.

passenger side or drivers side? I can check when I'm home later.
Also, if you can swing it, try to get that OEM bumper cover from MB. You'll spend about half that for the next best thing, but it's not worth it. I spent $400 on duraflex while the MB was just under $1,000. Stupid, stupid mistake.
Also, a tip for you and the shop: don't bother looking for C43 bumper reinforcement (the black plastic skeleton behind the bumper cover) because it doesn't exist. Apparently they just took stock w202 bumper reinforcements and modified each one by hand to fit the new cover. IIRC it's just sanding down a few points that interfere and attaching to the cover.

Edit: 2025200604 comes back to an air scoop for non AMG models. Perhaps 2025280604 ?

Non AMG using this scoop in the right side(front the airbox) only,
C43 uses the same scoop in the right & another one #: "07 04", in the left side..
ZAYED,,
