Well there goes that plan lol, but here's a video to cheer us all up
Sorry about the lack of view, in the test shots I did, this angle seemed fine, but I didn't account for the exposure, and my giant head. But at least there are some crackles and burbles on downshifts

Yes exactly, plugs right in to the gopro, and the wire is long enough that you can have the mic all the way on the other side of the car and still have a lot of slack. $30 dollars well spent I would say

My smoothness and overall driving improved so much by pushing the steering wheel up instead of pulling it down while steering through a turn. Try that if you already arent doing it, cant really tell
If its a right turn, use single hand(left) to push up and the opposite if its a left turn. This is how i practiced. Add the other hand later coz you need both hands of course

Why is this?
Firstly it gives the driver a better feel for what is going on up front of the vehicle and the reaction being dialed up from the front wheels. This was particularly true when power steering was mostly non existent on race cars. It is all part of what you feel of the vehicles reaction through the seat of your pants.
Secondly it gives for a faster reaction time in case of vehicle over-steer and the need for some rapid correction of the steering.
When you see how people hold and turn their steering wheel, it's perfectly normal that people loose control and crash. So many incidents could be easily avoided if people placed their hands correctly on the steering wheel and turned left and right using the method described above.
Take care people, drive safely and use the right driving techniques

First of all I want to say I just love how the C36/C43s sound and drive, just something special about them that makes us love driving it so much.
I made a few clips of my car, I will get my SS exhaust installed next week and wanted to have some extra footage of the stock exhaust.
About the driving techniques I definetly agree on what is posted above, it makes you just a little more in touch with the car. I myself still got a lot to learn about driving, I think the car is teaching me.
Wasnt pushing the car to hard in this vid, somehow I drive faster when there isnt a camera in the car
Do you guys have some advice how to take sharp turns like on 38 sec in the vid faster? I might invest in a gopro someday.

I have vogtland and bilstein sport springs in my c43 and I keeps up to s2000's and heavy modifed civics with coil overs and bigger sway bars. I think if you get adjustable cambers and the right sporty alignment you will be fine.

Also I can take 35 mile turns at 65-75 miles per hour easy no body role. I might be a noob but my technique is to take a turn at an apex form. And when im about to enter I down shift to 3rd then let go of the gas when I enter the turn. When I'm half way I start fiddling the gas then when I'm about to exit the turn I gas it. The best way to learn what your car can do Is on the track but also that puts a lot of stress on your car.

I just finished my Kw v3 install and its the the best..! I upgraded from euro and bilsteins
Euro and Billy were nice handled well but this completely different.
Firm and flat through the corners and you have lots of adjustments for your style of driving.
19 different settings plus ride height adjustment .

By the way, how many clicks are your shocks on rebound? Do you have any difference front and back?

KW V3
Actually DRB thanks to you I did this upgrade, I could not find any info on these cause mine were actually for the w208 and, I didn't want to test fit it was too much work. Then I found your thread and your pictures were so detailed I saw the part numbers were the same.
I recently contacted kw cause according to the manual there are 3 different adjustments top for 19 different settings and 2 more
1 adjuster is for when the shock is coming up
and the other is for when the shock is going down
those 2 can be adjusted separately according to the instructions.
But you're right I thought the Euro Billy were nice which I was very happy with until I did these and ,its only because I'm putting in my Renntech supercharger soon.
For those of you who are keeping your car for a long time and have to do suspension upgrade
This is really a no brainer forget the rest KW V3 is the way to go.

All w208 suspension and w202 are the same so, for the CLK430 you can use on C43
But not a C230 W202 or CLK320 for a CLK430 or C43 their suspension maybe softer for less weight. W208 and W202 are the exact same chassis.

I'm late to the party but as I'm on K&W Variant II's for three years I have a few thoughts. First, it's a street suspension. About as stiff as most can go and still live with it day to day. Perfect for a canyon carver / daily driver. On my car you have to remove the springs to change the height with the perches. Once the height is set and the car corner weighted, it's not that big of a deal. But the difficulty in jacking the weight around made the set up expensive. I track my car and blew out the front shocks, split the bumpstops and basically had to replace some parts. The guarantee process is this: fill out a claim form with measurements, send it in with the bad parts and agree to pay $200 per shock (plus shipping) for diagnosis in case they decide it wasn't a factory defect. I was quoted $411.20 each to replace them by K&W. I couldn't be without my car for months and decided to do an end around. I ended up buying 2 new front shocks from a friendly vendor for $290.00 each. Now I'm on Hoosiers and the K&W's are overwhelmed. They aren't meant for the kind of abuse the R compound tires exert. My platform is the R170. Summing up, love them for blasting around on deserted mountain roads, on or off ramps etc. Hate them for hard track usage.
