A little update: the arms were a bit overtightened and now absolutely no more squeaks. These tighten up the steering and the adjustability is great to have for fine tuning. After a couple weeks of driving, there is a noticeable difference and improvement in handling between the factory rubber bushings and the poly in Hedgehog's adjustable uppers. Ake has great customer service and he has been a pleasure to do business with. The Hedgehog poly LCA bushings are on order too :zoom:

I couldn't imagine how yours were squeaking. Relieved it was simple to resolve. Man I wish they could've been made to work on my car. I need them, badly.

Thread update.

As of right now, these arms are unfit for our vehicles. The arms hit the wheel wells & I am VERY lucky these did not snap during my 2500 mi road trip. Found they were bent pretty badly; I was getting a strange clunking & popping at full lock with these as well. I liked the idea, but real world application is not safe. Stock arms back on.

Ake @ Hedgehog Tuning is currently revising these arms.

Wow what a cheap POS. The designer should be sued.

I always wondered if W208 or w210 upper control arms were any different and if they can be retro fitted??

Their website states the arms were for W202/ W210/ R170 models.

cm60k 06-03-2017 06:43 PM

That's weird..!,,

perhaps something wrong with hole pattern or the balance/thickness of the poly, due to hard curving or deep humps..?!?!

thats too bad but lucky your car wasn't damaged.

im actually quite surprised that the metal flange area bent and didnt break at the weld. when i first saw this part i said "no way", due to the fact that all the stress seemed to be at that weld point, where the stock arms are cast and more strong (i would think). the fact that they were bending and not breaking at the weld is a testament to the weld strength i guess.

Velociabstract 06-05-2017 11:29 AM

Sorry to hear this .... not surprised. Mine bent on one side and snapped at the weld on the other. The bent side managed to clearance itself enough scrape up into the shock tower while the other just beat on the side of the shock tower. I have the A-Arms in a box and if you'd like I'll post pictures of the carnage.

Looks like very ****ty engineering to me. I wouldn't want to use parts that are not proven.

Or a testament to how poor grade of steel used..

They seem to be identical to the other ones at the beggining of the thread which ended up being dangerous. How are these not hitting?
