WINDSHIELD cracked

A damn little f-ing rock hit my windshield, got an ugly inch star shape crack now. I went to the Safelite website and they say they can REPLACE it for $200. (with a $20. discount code I got)

Any thoughts?

That sounds dirt cheap, at least compared to the price you would pay in my part of the woods.

Doesn't your insurance cover this item?

i would make sure safelite was using pilkington or ppg glass.

call your dealer and ask them who they use, because it will be the "real deal" versus cut throat crap you find at regular places. $200 is actually pretty cheap for a windshield and makes me wonder if they'll be using a cheap piece of glass. either do that, or shell out some more cash for real glass. people don't realize what a difference it can make looking through cheap glass versus good glass whenever you're in the car.

I work with a guy who comes to your place and installs the windshield for $120 (no rain sensor).
Glass is DOT approved.
If you're local in Los Angeles Area, PM me and i can send you his phone number.
