When i start the car in the mornings i get no blue smoke. after running it for half an hour and than park, wait 5 minutes, start the car, i get blue smoke coming of the right side exhaust pipe (i have true dual pipes).
Two days ago i got a check engine light and the car ran really ruff. code said misfire on cylinder 3. took out the plugs and they were black with oil, not wet oil but soothe black oil.
So i want to change the valve seals and stem guides on just that cylinder for now. I need some help with the following:
- this a good idea?
- where can i buy the right spring remover?
I found this one, link below. butit says m114 engine and not m113.Might that work?
- where can i buy the part that goes to the spark plug hole to hold the valves with air? we have a compressor.
- has anyone use ROPE instead of air to hold the valves?
- how do i get that cylinder on top dead center?
I work on my own 98 percent of the time, but havent done this as of yet.
ANY help/advice will be really appreciated.
Thanks.
