C36 headers
Hello there
Just wondering if there are any header options out there for the C36?
Also if anyone run a C36 with header and free flowing exhaust system? I want to hear the C36 scream a little more

Sorry to be a downer but do a search on this. Super common question with very few answers.. It can be done but your looking at about a grand for the header. As far as opening up the exhaust that can be done too. But the c36 exhaust is not restrictive and no gains in hp are really there. In some cases you loose a little tq.
A couple members on here change out the resonator with good results as far as tone though.

Now if you want to go out on a limb. I've heard of but have not seen in person a guy that bought a header for a bmw then cut the flange off, reworked the header pipes and welded a mercedes flange back on. Like i said, never seen it but sounds interesting. Problem is it's a lot of money investment for very little gain if any. Which is the reason why you just don't see it that often.
There was a member on here years back that has a whipple supercharged m104 and built one. He at the time said he would be willing to build another for about a grand.

I am sure Supersprint in Italy made some nice headers in the past, but the catalogue today only shows mufflers...
